Youth Services

Down the street, across the country, around the world, a teenager learns how to save the life of a child under his or her care thrugh a babysitter class. A child is learning to swim in a Red Cross class. Students are learning how to help their families evacuate their homes in the event of a disaster through a disaster preparedness program. Chidlren learn how to stay healthy and prevent germs from spreading with school programs such as Scrubby Bear and Germs, Germs, Germs. Our youth also learn how to stay safe and help out during an emergency through Basic Aid Training (BAT). CPR Certified high school students ahve an opportunity to volunteer as rescue breathing instructors for fourth grade BAT Blitzes. There are many opportunities for youth to learn, be prepared, and volunteer through the Red Cross.
