Volunteers in Action

Our disaster volunteers are incredible people with incredible experiences. Whether a deployment is their first or their fifth, our volunteers will have new and life-changing experiences each time they go out.

Trish Bose, a long-time volunteer with the Elkhart County Red Cross, was recently deployed to Eastern Massachusetts after Hurricane Irene. Trish was deployed to do client casework, one of her many hats as a Red Cross volunteer. Trish has been reflecting on her time in Massachusetts, and has been gracious enough to start a journal.
