Logan Nunez, a 4th grader at Osolo Elementary School, helped save his great grandmother's life on the night of January 18th!  Logan recieved Basic Aid Training (BAT) last fall from the Red Cross's Youth Services Coordinator, Judy Christophel.  When his great grandmother stopped breathing and had no pulse, Logan remembered his BAT training, and took action.  Logan tilted his great grandmother's head back, pinched her nose, and provided rescue breaths until she could breath on her own again.

Logan's great grandmother was taken to the hospital but is now home and recovering.  Thanks to Logan and his BAT training, she will be celebrating her 80th birthday with her family on January 26th.

The Elkhart Red Cross encourages all ages to get Red Cross First Aid/CPR training so they can be as brave as Logan...and help save a life!

Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule a class.
