Elkhart Chapter Receives Partnership Award!

On Friday, October 7, 2011 Linda Nelson, Executive Director for the Elkhart County Chapter of the American Red Cross accepted the “2011 Partnership Award” for the Elkhart County Chapter Red Cross from Blood Services Indiana-Ohio Region at the Annual Recognition Luncheon held in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

The Elkhart County chapter was nominated by Marla Miller, Donor Recruitment Representative for Northern Indiana. The Partnership Award is given to a chapter that supports the successful recruitment and collection of blood products. The Elkhart County Chapter has worked in partnership with Blood Services by helping to organize a blood drive at the March “Keep the Beat, Save a Life” Hands Only CPR event as well as promoting their services and providing information for blood services at numerous health fairs.
