American Red Cross Biomedical Services strives to be recognized as the leader in transfusion medicine. We are committed to quality, enduring the availability of the safest possible blood products, and delivering customer service that consistently meets or exceeds expectation. We are commited to providing the right blood to the right patient at the right time, everytime.

Every year the American Red Cross collects about 6.5 million units of blood from approximately 4.5 million volunteer blood donors. From these donation, the Red Cross distributes about 9.5 million blood products each year, including 6 million red cells, to patients in approximately 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers across the county. We are one of the largest blood suppliers in the United States, and there is a growing need for blood products. It is estimated that only 8% of those who can give blood do. Help save a life by giving blood.
